The History of Aero Transcription Service, Inc

Aero Transcription Service was founded by Pamela Bielanski. Pam had attended nursing school and worked for many years in transcription with hospitals, such as Sinai and Church Home Hospital. She decided to branch out on her own as an at home transcriptionist with the support of her husband James A. Bielanski. With a few local MT’s, she worked from her home in Middle River, Maryland. In 1998, Pam paired with her cousin Nancy Yeager and started a partnership organization. ATSI was officially formed and on its way. The office moved to a small, finished storage area belonging to Aero Heating Company, which was then owned by Pam’s uncle and Nancy’s father, Harry F. Horney. It was small but a perfect fit.

In 2001, ATSI incorporated and moved just around the corner to a store front with a little bit more growing room. James A. Bielanski, Pam’s husband became the corporate Treasurer. He had been by Pam’s side but now frequented the office as a general operations manager and troubleshooter. Aero Transcription Service, Inc. was becoming a well-known company and establishing large, long-term clients. In late 2001, Pam’s daughter Tiffany H. Roberts joined the team as an office receptionist. In 2002, Nancy parted with Aero Transcription Service and Tiffany became the corporate Vice President. ATSI continued its rapid growth.

In 2006, ATSI moved again. The move was to 7621-C Fitch Lane in the Nottingham/Fullerton area. The new office was much larger and could accommodate the growth that would follow. At this time Peter A. Bielanski, Pam’s son became more involved with the business. In early 2008, Cathy Scherer, who had been with ATSI since November of 2000 as a transcriptionist, was welcomed onboard full time as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. Peter began working full time aiding in technology support and setup, and became the corporate Secretary. All of the pieces fit and Aero Transcription Service had become what Pam & Jim had hoped for; a successful family-owned business providing professional and quality documents to the healthcare industry, from the heart of our family coupled with some of the industries finest MT’s.

On November 14, 2009, tragedy hit the family and business. Pam and Jim were involved in a fatal automobile accident when an oncoming vehicle crossed over into their lane. Both passed instantly. They were together, as they always were and shall always be. The company was passed onto their daughter, Tiffany H. Roberts and son, Peter A. Bielanski.

Aero Transcription Service, Inc. continues to operate smoothly and as established by Pam & Jim Bielanski. In their memory and honor, we will continue to follow their dreams and aspirations.
